I see my nephew Matt has been up past his bedtime again.

Turkey season opened today and I see y'all are lighting it up out Camp Wood way Holdem. Did the yard bird make it?

Haven't seen him since yesterday afternoon. He was with a buddy marching down the road like they had an appointment someplace.

Yeah, time for a few Turkey "Hoedowns" in these high meadows. Reminds me of square dancing mixed with a war party. Toms all bloomed out with hens running round and round squawking. It's a sight to see.

Fixin' to head to Graham to try to set up my cousin's son with a loop and release instead of finger shooting a compound. He's getting into 4H archery so he wants to do it right.

Just finished a losing battle trimming a booganvilla (darn they gots lots thorns)!! I'm done for the day. Burgers and fajita meat seasoning. Watching cory make up for the lost fishing trip due to his brother being sick, by fishing in the pool. Fishing hard, but hasn't caught anything yet!

I saw the one over Trakington Prairie, it was a dandy. Spent half the day putting a metal roof on my future man room(dog House). Just finished a 2 hour nap. I love it!

You can certainly tell that it is the offseason. Not much posting going on 'round here.

HUNTING REPORT:
Saw one Jeep Wagoneer with shotguns sticking out the windows, (2) 4 wheelers twice, a red F150 and one little hen. Note to self: "don't bother hunting on the weekend". (I already know that about fishing). Oh well, they go home tomorrow and I get to stay here.
