I was making some arrows with my grandson for the child’s compound bow that I bought him. He wanted to crest the arrows like mine, so we did it with different colored sharpie pens. My wife caught a great picture of us through the window, with the Montana mountains, reflected in the background.
The world lost a good man yesterday. One of the more phenominal family men I've had the pleasure to party with, and a man who walked through life with the lord 1st in his mind and his heart. He meant a ton to my son, and they enjoyed many hunting trips over the years...for that I will always be jealous.
You will be missed, Mike. Thank you for being the man you were to...
If it’s true what they say, that it takes a village to raise a child, then it sounds like you chose one of the best to be in yours. My condolences to you and your son. I’m sure he will be missed.
Been so busy I don't get on the laptop to much to check in, but I'm on nights this week so trying to stay awake and update!
- Started a new job back in January with Independence TX LLC at one of their sand plants in the Mentone area running heavy equipment. Really digging the week on/week off schedule.
- Hurricane Beryl ripped half the roof off one barn and smacked my tuff shed around a little, but we got them fixed in time for Dad to try and burn the other barn down when a aerosol can popped in the burn barrel 🙄
- 26 years after my last Pen of 3 win at our county fair the Nephew came out swinging and not only won Grand Champion Pen of 3, it was our first pen bred and raised from our own herd on the ranch
- Then he went and got himself this winter his first buck at my lease in Mason. Been bowhunting it since I got on years ago but till he gets the wiggles tamed we built a couple shooting houses and got them up in time to harvest this nice ten point last week
As Forrest Gump would say "That's... That's about it..."😜
