    Dodge Maxcare thoughts

I was wondering if anyone has had any major repairs done with the maxcare warranty. So far I've had minor stuff done like LED on dash, sterio header bolts Ect and the deductible of $100 covered it all no questions asked they fix it and return the truck. I'm at 137,000 miles and they are still fixing it any time something comes up with the unlimited miles unlimited years warranty. Just wondering if anyone needed major work and they still cover it.

Depends on how much you paid. I had a torque converter go out and caused my tranny to burn up. Would have been covered from that $3,400 repair.

I bought the unlimited miles/years Mopar warranty for my wife's Jeep. If things keep going like they have been it will pay for itself in no time! Well over half way there! Biggest things so far are a radiator replacement, wheel speed sensor and three roof leaks. It only has 60k miles on it.

I had the following replaced under the Maxcare with no issues

PS Pump (2x, one was bad right after I got it back)
          Pinion seal
          Ignition sensor
          Hub bearings
          Axle seal
Transmission sensor (not sure which one, it hung up in 4th gear “limp mode”)

I think there was some others but can’t rememwbr. Sold the truck with 96k miles and about 4 months left on the warranty. Never had an issue with the dodgemplace other than it always took at least a week. Paid them my $100 each time and went on like normal. Best $999 I ever spent. It was on a 2012 2500

Yes there warranty is at the top of what I have seen , I am a independent mechanical inspector for them and 4 other manufacturers as well as 15 plus after market companies.
Had a vehicle this week which was a 2016 pick up with 258k due to the customer using it for his job as a pilot driver for wide loads , no Tx Dot #.
If you have Tx Dot numbers on it for work you better have a commercial policy though.
            There pricey but worth it.

Mine i think was in the 2400 range but since the radio has had issues twice that alone i have almost paid for it. just making sure when i start getting into the 200k miles hopefully they keep on fixing it. Its paid off so i figure run it till it doesnt run and have them fix it and keep running it.

Has anyone with a dodge pickup made it trouble free over 150k?

I doubt anybody with any brand has had 150,000 trouble free miles.

My 97 Ram 2500 made it to 220k before I had any issues at all crank sensor went out. Bought it in Dec of 96 over 600k miles now still driving it every day but it's in bad shape now

I changed my wife’s alternator and a idler bearing on her 07 4Runner last year and she said that’s the first work that had ever been done to it. It had around 140k on it.

You left out new drive shaft, transmission sensor (had to tow his boat home, was a fun ride home digging at him).

For the fella who commented earlier on 150k trouble free, no issues with my Tundra with 157,000, drives like the day I bought it, towed way more than it should and keeps firing up time and time again.

There is a reason why Dodge had to do the warranty...I just hope they treat you right when the top end needs a rebuild.

Gotta give it to him this Toyota is #17 in trucks so he's had them all. I'll probably end up with a Toyota next but checking on this warranty to see when that will be as no sense to buy a tundra if the Dodge is paid and they keep fixing it.

I'm not one to buy extended warranties. But a few years ago when we bought my wife a Chrysler T&C van with 20K miles on it, they offered a lifetime / unlimited miles warranty with a $100 deductible. I took it, knowing that the van will probably have 300-400K miles before we get rid of it. I'm sure it will pay for itself.
