    Dog Training

OK Green Screen I need your help bigtime!

So we have a dog that we adopted from a shelter when she was about 6 months old. She did her normal puppy stuff and chewed a few things that we would forget to pick up or toys that had stuffing in them. We were fine with that and understood that it was our fault for leaving things within her reach to tear up.

Well now she is two and we have tried everything and she gets better for about a week then tears something else up or digs. We have tried everything and are exhausted of it. For the holes that she digs we tried rubbing her nose in it and telling her no, rubbing her nose in it and spanking her, bringing her over to a hole and just telling her no, put her poop in the hole and cover it back up. Also we have tried all the same techniques when it comes to tearing up our things. She has tore up a couch pillow, a whole couch cushion, multiple socks and underwear that she gets out of the dirty clothes hamper if we forget to close the bathroom door, and multiple other things.

We kennel her during the day because we are afraid of what she will tear up or dig up during the day. We have also invested in expensive toys that she can not tear up so she always has toys and she has plenty of room to run around on in the back yard (about .5 acres).

We are thinking a boarding trainer will be good for her. Somewhere we can take her and drop her off for about 2-3 weeks and gets full 1 on 1 training for that time. She is a super smart dog and I think that is her downfall.

Sorry for the long write up it was a little bit of a rant, I walked out this morning and she had dug up the lid off our septic....
