As one who catches them and sometimes plays with them even I would have been puckering a bit but I would know to just stay calm and let it go on it's way.
Now with my luck, it would be a cool morning and the snake would tuck in tight to get warm.

Not to change the subject but one night this little fella decided to come out and play in the street of a local subdivision I use to patrol. My district partner had animal control already on location trying to wrangle it with a catch pole. I pulled up behind his unit where he was staying a safe distance, as I walked up I pick up a long switch and when I got close to him I started poking at his pant legs with it. I never seen a deputy jump so far up and scream like a girl before. I was dying laughing .
