If something seems too good to be true then it probably is. Better look hard into that price. My 30x40 come out to about $20 sqft and it was built very stout.

Sounds very good. I'd try to get some more details. Ask for referrals in the area. It could go either way with a bid like that, not much room for error. I'd honestly be more comfortable around $20k with a known builder in the area. The slab alone will be about @6-7K and the building will be about the same depending on options. That doesn't leave much for labor and profit. Two-three weeks build time with 2-3 guys puts labor easily at 2-3K. How much for his trouble 1-2K not worth it in my opinion. I have built a 30x40 and a 40x60 and its a lot of work!!

That is either missing something or a smoking hot deal. Get details in writing before they start if you decide to use them. I am starting on mine now (set forms yesterday) and it is very similar. But I am subbing everything out myself vs a turn key job and saving a lot of money over what I got prices on for turn key. My costs and specs are below.
30x40x14 with a 12x40 lean to.
1- 30/70 walk door
1- 10x10 roll up
2- 12x12 roll up
insulation in roof only
30x40 slab 10" perimeter and cross beams with 5" thick remainder. (this is built on solid rock)
3- footers for lean to
My costs
Building - $12,800 including delivery
concrete- $7,200
labor for putting building together $5,000 - neighbor is putting building together with my help
Total cost- $25,000
All of the turn key prices I got were between $30K and $40K.

I pour concrete for a living and I would go broke pouring your slab forn $7200. I can't pour mine own for that. Not properly.Last edited by Ironman; 04-11-2017, 07:50 AM.
