    Hotel Room at Bownanza available

I booked a room for next Friday and Saturday night at Hilton Garden Inn for Bownanza at the group discounted rate. Unfortunately I can't make it next weekend because my daughter has to be in a parade with the Victoria Livestock Show Queens Court and my wife is working at the hospital next weekend. Before I cancel my room reservation, I wanted to check and see if anyone wanted to take the reservation over at the discounted rate, otherwise it will open back up at their normal room rates. Just let me know if anyone is interested in the room (2 queen beds).

What's the discounted rate? I would only need it for Friday night.
    Thanks in advance

it was the group rate for TBH at $139 per night. I don't think the reservation can be broken up at this point however

I booked my room on Jan 10. for $110.

When I called to book, I figured I would just book a room and not use one of the TBH blocked out rooms so other, late slackers could use them . They told me my room with 2 queens would be $110 + tax.

I then asked what the TBH rate was, and she said $139 + tax

          Go figure!!!

That happens a lot. When I traveled shooting ASA tourney's, I always booked without the ASA rate. Saved $$ that way.

That is some grade A BS right there!! They charged us $169 last year for a TBH group rate and it could be found for $150 online. And they act like they are doing us a favor while making Mary's life difficult trying to negotiate or come to an agreement... all for a higher price. I'll be doing the same next year.

You need to call them, not sure how the contract reads , but having a group block paying a higher rate than transient guest is a no no. I looked at rooms now and they are $269 for this weekend so i don't know if you can do anything but the fact others were able to book at lower rates while you had the block is not right. Also some of the cheaper rates may have been prepaid and non refundable so that could be the difference.

Yea usually for rewards members they always offer the lowest rate possible.
