Anyone ever used a handheld spreader with a bag to spread corn? I have a spot across a creek I like to feed and thinking about getting one like this that holds 25lbs to spread corn. Would the adjustment open enough for corn to feed through?

I have two of these. I dont spread corn with them. I plant food plots.
To answer your question. Yes it will open wide enough to spread corn. It does not open wide enough to spread corn at a very high concentration. It would take you all morning to spread 25 lbs of corn and kernels would be so far apart that it wouldnt even get a deer's attention.
I would suggest a backpack and a couple one gallon zip lock bags.

Back when we had a lease through the '90s we never had feeders or tailgate feeders. I would ride in the back of the truck my dad would drive down the sendero while I poured corn out of the sack. One of our blinds was on a sendero that went east and west. He would drive down the east side with me feeding and on the west side I would just walk down the sendero with the sack feeding as I went.
Wouldn't it be cheaper just to feed pouring it out of the sack?
