    Polaris Ranger problems- Need help

I have a ranger diesel. Well the other day it wouldn't go. It starts and ideal fine but when you give it peddle, nothing. I've been working nights and reall haven't had time to look at it but my problem is. We are leaving for San Antonio Thursday for our 4-H state shoot and we NEED it. I'm off Sunday and can work on it then but that leaves me with only a day or so to get it fixed. Most repair shops are 3-4 weeks out. Anyone here have any words of wisdom that can help me out.

    Thanks

    Btw. I think it's a 10 or 12' year model.

Change the belt, maybe wore out.

Make sure the parking brake is all the way released. You probably already know that, but if the parking brake is not all the way released, it will cough and sputter, but not go!

Do you mean it dies when you give it gas or it just will not move?

Look at the belt and linkeage to see if anything obvious. Hope you get it figured out quickly. Good luck.

If it has been left out in the rain check for water on the belt housing. Mine has a plug to drain water from the housing.

New belt in January and it will not rev up. Stays in the shop so no water.

Broken throttle cable? Does it have a Yanmar or Kohler diesel?

My 2014 900 Crew did something similar.

It is a drive by wire dealio and he throttle does not actually have a cable. Mice had chewed up the wires going from the throttle pedal to ??? and it took the dealer mechanic a while to figure it out.

I thought it was a bad pedal and bought a new one before hauling it back from the lease. Cost me an extra $150 that I did't need to spend.

Thanks guys but I got it all figured out and fixed. My fuel tank was very dirty. It wasn't dirt but looked more like wet paper. I started sucking the file out and I got a lot of the stuff out but still had a big wad in the tank. Glad my son was home and could get his hand in the tank to finish the clean up. I guess that stuff got around the screen and got stuck. It ideal perfect now and runs better than it has in a long time.
