Is Nelson Brothers tough to locate? They had some at one of my local spots and it sure looked like the owner was trying to hide it.

But if the source of the quote himself isn't enough to convince some, the "Tombstone" script can be found online, where readers can confirm for themselves that the line is "I'm your huckleberry," not "I'm your huckle bearer."

Kilmer also titled his memoir, you guessed it, "I'm Your Huckleberry".

It does sound like " huckle bearer" due to Kilmer's southern accent in the role.

The actual saying was "huckle bearer", had something to do with funerals and someone carried some sort of "huckle" or somesuch. Kilmer thought "huckleberry" sounded cooler, so he changed it. Still a great character and movie.

I wish they would ship some Knob Creek 12 down this way...it's been ages since I've seen a bottle.

Learned something new. Google says the handle of a coffin was called a huckle. A huckle bearer was a pall bearer. It says huckleberry was a western word used to indicate a person was the best for the job or had you covered. I guess either one would work in the case in point. I agree on the great character and movie.

If you like that then try the Still Austin Tanager Cigar Blend bourbon if you have the chance. Both are blended by Nancy Fraley.

Dang i need to educate myself. I'm a bourbon fan (been called a snob) and gravitate towards the Buffalo Trace lines. I'd love to go to the store and try some new ones but overwhelmed by options. Should i just make a list of bottles to look for? Is there anything on the bottles to look out for? I'm afraid i'd have a "hidden gem" in front of me and not even know it.

There is a Whiskey Riot in Dallas coming up and would be a great way to taste a lot if different ones without have to buy a bottle. I have a list of to get bottles usually based a a few YouTube channels that I follow. I was mainly BT, but have found I really like Smoke Wagon uncut, Still Austin BP in bourbon and rye, Woodford and Woodford Double Oak, Widow Jane Decadence, Wild Turkey Rare Breed.... All very easy to get.

Just a father and son drinking some bourbon and talking about it! Livestreams and giveaways on the last Friday of ever month.
