Picked up a bottle of Evan Williams 1783 small batch to try since I liked their BIB and was pleasantly surprised. It’s good from start to finish, very little burn and notes of vanilla, honey and oak for me plus the price is really good! I’m going to try the Old Forester prohibitions soon.

Found a bottle of Basil Hayden Toast and had a friend bring me another bottle of Blanton’s Gold back from the UK.

Pretty sure I picked up two bottles in Kingsville for high $40’s per bottle.

My wife brought me home a bottle of Eagle Rare from target this week and I found a McKenna 10.

the basil hayden toast was pretty average for me.
if it was $29 a bottle, i would be okay with it as a daily drinker/mixer type.

but for $49 it is one I won't buy a second time.

it is not in the same class as the Elijah Craig Toasted or Michter's toasted
              those are delicious

10-4. Wife got me a Jefferson’s reserve single barrel store pick for my birthday. She took pictures of what they had as well and saw the basil Hayden toast on the shelf. Figured I’d ask the experts on here.

Stumbled upon an Elijah Craig Toasted barrel this evening. Seems like more good stuff is starting to become available.

I came across a few bottles of very old St Nick reserve crafted 118proof and a 8yr special cask rye. And reviewson taste and price?

I normally stick to gin but I’ve been really enjoying old fashioneds and manhattans lately. Picked up this bottle last week, now trying to decide what to get this weekend.

I was looking for an exceptional bottle of bourbon that one can actually find without the friggin’ easter egg hunt.

Bought a bottle of Calumet Farm Single Rack Black 15 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Don’t waste your money. There are hundreds of better bottles at $40 to $50 a bottle. It’s not bad mind you, it is just pretty average.
