Just got back from LA and checked a few stores. Lots of Buffalo Trace products, but they're all marked up four plus times the retail value. Cheapest bottle of Blantons was $100. I guess I should have bought it.

Good call not supporting those types of practices. If more people would refrain from paying absurd prices, they would have to drop them.

I talked to the guy about it a little bit, says he has 4-5 customers that are his main drivers for his pricing, told him at that rate he'd be able to retire in 3 years. He laughed and shook it off.

I mean, if he has people consistently purchasing at his prices, I can't fault the guy for making money hand over fist. Just not dumb enough to fall into that trap
