Apparently the bourbon bug has hit Chicago. All they have is Buffalo Trace. I did see a Dripping Spring bourbon which was pretty cool to see up here.

I have seen Early Times at Specs and Twin Liquor in Austin. Not sure if they have stores up in the Dallas area or not.

Balcones is one of my favorite distillers, tried this one at a bar a few weeks ago. Good proof, aged in French oak barrels. It has a nice, thick finish that stays with you for a while. Total Wine has this on the shelf but says it's limited. Might pick up one more and throw it in the back of the cabinet for a special occasion.

I got hung up on 2 bottles of Stagg jr batch 7&13. Now I cant find anymore. So I went to store picked up Angel's envy and Bookers. Not impressed . I so need to find some more stagg jr. Any help will be appreciated

I love Booker's but you have to be careful which batch you get. They release 4 per year, each has the year, a dot, and 1-4. They have a bunch of names for the different variations so if you don't like the bottle you picked up don't give up. Also, depending on the proof, it might do well to put it back on the shelf after opening and come back in a month. If you really hate it, I'd take it off your hands.
