    Stand and fill feeder questions

Okay I have a 55 gallon tripod feeder and want to upgrade to a 600 pound, I like the idea of the short stand and feed feeder. What do you guys that about them and what brand to look at in the houston area? I looked at the all season and old timer and like the old timers sturdy metal design compared to the thin galvanized of the all season.

I just got my Stand and Fill and so far like it. It throws corn real well but it does leave alot underneath it. I am going to set mine on some cinder blocks to get a little more clearance. Love the idea of not having to use a winch and not climbing a ladder.

I hear a lot of good things from the all season, they just seem so thin, but I guess they hold up fine

We are replacing all of our crank up feeders with the Diamond Varmint Proof stand and fill feeders. We bought just one to try it out for several months to make sure the hogs weren't going to tear it up before we bought more. The feeder is internal and with the heavy plate underneath, it's not only varmint proof, but corn doesn't pile up below it. Since we are a fenced hog hunting operation, we are constantly having to move feeders because the hogs wallow out a huge hole under them, which ends up filling with water. We don't have that problem with the Diamond, not to mention the ease of filling them- and with eight feeders to fill every two weeks, that sure means a lot!

This is the best one I have found. I have hogs and cows without pens with one Tpost and no issues. Shoots corn out away from the feeder and coons, etc cant get in there. I tested one and am now going to these exclusively.
