I own an RV park and when I built it I put all 50 amp services. Have had lots of 30 amp campers come and go and never a problem. If it were a 50 amp trailer and 30 amp service it would be a different story.
Last year while at the Frio I did notice that there were a few people that had an issue with the male prongs from the camper cord melting to the female part of the adapter. Most of the adapters that the park had were shot from this so I went and got a new one and did not have any issues.
This is the one I use. I pretty much use it if there is a 50 amp plug available because the 30 amp plugs get the most abuse... There are some small cheap adapters out there but the folks who do this all the time like me use the dog bone style because they're stronger and rarely burn out like the plastic plug style.
