Boot lip is another term you'll hear for scaup/blue bills. LOL

Man, some of these guys belong over on archerytalk. Good job taking the kiddos, I am happy for you. I shot lots of ducks back in the day. There were times i didn't know 100%. I would bet everyone has been there.

No bashing worries, just hope everyone reading this including my boys have leaned a little more.

We shot these ducks very early, so identifying would have been very difficult....but no excuses
Congrats on the ducks. Blue bills are usually the early arrivers and make lots of wing noise coming in. When I used to duck hunt (and take new people) whoever shot the blue bills had to clean all the ducks.

Ya he is taking his kids outdoors and trying to learn.

Man if you want to get them kids on some more birds let me know my group is over 100 birds so far this year and I didn't get to hunt Sunday due to work. I would be happy to get y'all out there and help out in anyway I could.

Looks like the kind you cut the breast out of and chicken fry. Good job, looks like you made those boys very happy.

                      We need Michael Buffer sometimes...

Congrats on good times with your boys. Your doing just fine, knowledge come with experience and so does memories. Keep at it.

Congrats on the bluebills. They are much harder to come by now then when I was a boy. When I was a teenager in Colorado, they used to buzz our spreads by the hundreds. Lots of target practice and shells burnt on them. Glad your boys got to experience some of them. I wish they could hear a group of about 100 of them coming in. It sounds just like a jet engine.
