    GSP Breeder

If you're looking for a GSP I have to brag on the breeder we got our pup from. He's incredible. I've posted on a couple of threads about him (the breeder and pup), but I just had another great experience with him (the breeder) and I want to make sure I advertise for him.

His kennel is named 6R Upland Kennel and he is based out of Iowa.

We bought our pup after looking at pictures online and speaking with the breeder (Chris). He spoke to us at length about the sire and dam and all of the pups.

Our pup, Wyatt, is three years old and we have never had a single health issue with him. Every person at the kennel that we leave him with when we go out of town comments on how beautiful he is and how great his personality is. They all love him and tell us that they look forward to us leaving him with them. They all say that he has an incredibly unique personality and that he has the most personality out of any of the dogs that stay with them.

When he was about eight months old he started limping. It persisted for about three days so we took him in to our vet. She immediately said that is was hip dysplasia. If it was true, we were furious. Not only for our dog, but because 6R had touted how great their dogs' health was. We called Chris at 9:00 pm and he talked to us for about an hour. He said that there was no way that it was HD, but if it was that he would give us the first pick of the next litter for free. He told us that he was 99.99% sure it was growing pains and just to give it a couple of more days. We listened to him and he was correct. Not only was he willing to speak to us at a late hour, but he spoke to us at length and was willing to correct the mistake for free (to us) and a loss to him.

Wyatt is three years old now and we are considering getting him neutered. I am very concerned that it will change his personality and drive so I've spoken with a couple of different vets and have been researching. I decided that before making my decision I would call Chris. I called him today around 1:00 and he sounded very busy, but spoke to me none-the-less (and actually remembered speaking with my husband over two years ago about the HD). It's now almost 10:00 and my husband just got off the phone with him because he called us back to make sure that all of our questions were answered. To me, that's just incredible. He was at a show when I called him (which was why he sounded busy) and was worried that he had rushed me off the phone. He saved my number and called me back. That's just incredible. He sells... I don't know how many dogs... a LOT... every year and takes time to speak with someone he sold a dog to three years ago about getting neutered.

Not only am I impressed with our dog, but I am impressed with Chris. He is a genuine, honest man. You don't see too many of those anymore.

His website is http://6ruplandkennels.com/ and his facebook page (where he posts most of his pictures) is https://www.facebook.com/6ruplandkennels

We could not be happier with the health, personality, hunting prowess, and look of our dog. We continue to be impressed with the affability and genuine honesty of Chris. People like him need to be honored and I felt like I needed to say something to the GS. Thank you, boys, for reading!

Oh, and we will be getting him neutered.
