Found this in West Texas and was wondering what the notch was. I know the tip is broken like most I find out there but this one looks different from what I usually find.

Anyone have an idea what this could have been?

        Any thoughts on this piece?
Seems 'rough' but too nice/uniform to be naturally formed.

Very old. Late Paleo maybe. Maybe broken Folsom or Clovis but I don't see the fluting coming up from where the base would have been.

I think the one on the left is a Nolan, the other one is possibly a Nolan as well.

I’m still an amateur myself, but I’ve gotten really into over the last few years. The book Stone Artifacts of Texas Indians is a great resource and so is projectilepoints.net. Here is a link to info about Nolan points:

Found this one in southern Mason County (Texas). Pretty cool looking. Any input on it would be appreciated.

I also found this in Mason county. I can't really see what I consider to be a lot of flaking to my untrained eye. It is a little thicker than most arrowheads I've ever found. But it really does kinda have the general shape of an unfinished arrowhead. Did I find something here, or is it just a rock that I'm wanting to be something???? (I don't know anything about arrowheads)
