How do U get a deadbeat dad to pay CS?

Everything in writing to AG's office (every office) via CMRR. No phone calls. Request immediate action, ask for withholding order (especially if you know where he works) and attach copy of Decree.

Contact SO and file complaint as stated above.

My wifes ex never paid and we never tryed to get it (65k) over 16 years. And it was worth every penny when my baby girl asked me to walk her down the aisle this October.

Sad deal, for sure stay on them, it will catch up with him at some point and he will have to pay. My ex complains if the check is 2 days late.

I disagree i think the AG hates DB dads . . . . they will do something and it will not be fun for him. Matter of time.

If you have addresses for where he works and were he lives. give them to the AG. help keep them up to date with all info.

He paid one payment....It has been 3 yrs....Owes $25 thou plus....The AG has the paperwork..but I hear they won't do anything....It's a pain....

One of my P.O.S family relatives Or whatever u want to call it I no longer claim. Owed 3 times that. And the only reason they did anything to him was he was trying to start a LLC.

I went through this with my ex wifes ex. We tried going through the AG, did all the gathering of info for them and they still did nothing. I had money put back so we hired a lawyer that got him back to court before a judge and was hammered with all the back child support as well as our lawyers fee. Only problem is she forgot to re-deposit my money before she left me. She got her back CS caught up as well as keeping my several thousand dollars.

Stay on the AG office and continue to follow up with them. If he fishes or hunts, he will not be able to obtain either license with having delienquencies of back child support and will not be able to obtain them until he is caught up.

Hearing these stories of dead beat dads, makes me so mad! I haven't missed a payment in 11yrs. Even had my company over pay 600 dollars accidentally once. You don't get that back from the atty generals office btw. My ex wouldn't repay me either? She is always wanting more money. I pay 950 dollars a month plus 600 for insurance a month on my two girls! I don't mind taking care of my kids, but she doesn't realize how good she has it sometimes?

Get a case worker from the home and health services. When they find him he will be screwed. If he doesn't come up with at least a quarter of what he owes he will loose his liscence and his freedom for a least six months and if he doesn't pay after that he will get locked up for a couple of years. By the way, it doesn't go away. Even after the kids are adults the ex will be responseable for the remainder.

Thanks for all the info.... We will stay on the AG.... That bat looks mighty good... Haha... He quit his job after the first payment and started working for cash only.... Last I saw him..he had a new truck and daughter says he has a crew under him... The truck was a company truck.... There was no sign on the door... He works/lives in brazoria county.... He loves to fish on the coast.... We paid off her car... He told me a long time ago that he wouldn't help with her college.... We will cover for her here also.... At least she understands now.... I escorted her at the football field at homecoming..while her sat in stands and watched.... That was sweet.... His mother didn't like it.... I told her..there is more to being a dad than making a baby....

I have had my full custody of my daughter for 6 years now. Never once received any CS from her mom. I even had to pay a years worth of support after I had custody. It's a messed up system. Luckily the mom isn't a part of our lives and my daughter has a great woman in her life that is a great mom. IMO if someone doesn't support their children they should lose all their rights as the parent. Simple enough.

I dot agree with jail time, how does that help the situation?? Debters Prison is a never-ending deal. If a parent doesn't pay, then don't allow them rights to their child. Also, maybe men and women would think before getting knocked up and dealing with it. Now I know it's different with marriage, my daughter came along 18 months after her mother and I were married. It's sad that kids have to go thru their lives dealing with moms and dads fighting over money. If the custodial parent has the Finacial means to support their kids with out the ex, then remove the exs rights if they do not contribute.
