Need a work car

I've got a couple of diesel trucks that are killing me at the pump. I drive 35-40 miles to work each day. Usually I ride my Harley to work but its 20 years old. It's been a daily driver but Houston traffic isn't the safest for bikes. I'm thinking about getting a little crap-box car that'll get at least as good of MPG as my Harley. I'm leaning towards a Kia Soul simply because of the $15K price and 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. Anybody have any experience with them? I'm not interested in a $20K car.

I would get a good used honda or toyota in the 5-6 thousand range. Good mpg and cheaper ins.

With the kia you'll have to feed the chipmunks or what ever those things are.
