I've always wanted to live in Stephenville or Weatherford. Fort Worth is close and has everything you need, but you still get the country feel and terrain of the hill country. The people are great, too.

I like rolling hills of Llano, Lampasas, Bastrop with nice piney trees and Gruene is nice as well...But I doubt I will live in those areas since not very many Deaf people live in those places to sustain my wife's income like Austin does.
She is a certified sign language interpreter, in case yall wondering what I meant.

Born and raised in Hallettsville, currently living in Shiner. I dont think I would ever leave. I have been working in the Austin area for over 10 years and have made the decision to NOT move closer several times. I like Austin for work and we come here on weekends to play from time to time. 2 hours from Houston, San Antonio, or Austin. 2 hours or less to the coast. 3 hours from STX brush. I have seen some beautiful parts of Texas but Lavaca County is home.
