Kansas Hunting

My buddy and myself want to go to Kansas next year to bowhunt, I have heard it is not to hard to get a tag for bow hunting but where to hunt? How do you guys find property to hunt? Do yall mostly hunt public or private lands? Thanks for any information!

I have been wondering the same thing. everyone talks about Unit12 or Unit 9, are these what we would call counties? I also wonder how they find these "leases".

I hunted some walk in land this year. This was my first year hunting in Kansas and it won't be my last. The public land is not like public here. I only saw maybe 4 other hunters while I was there.
