    pipeline question

    Has any one had a pipline company want run one right down the middle of there property on a small tract? mine is only five acres and they will survey soon and propose a offer I guess my concern is should I contact a lawer for advise on how much they should offer,How will it affect the value of the property and how will it effect building a house on it in the future. if I contact lawer does any one know of one in the area that deals with this. I'm in Alvin property is in manvel,Tx Thank's in advance.

      Had them come through 25 acres we have last year. They wanted to lay it right next to an existing pipe line so that meant it would have to go right through our old camp and they did it. We just leased the property so the owner approved it. We didnt stay in it anymore as I built a new one and it had seen its better days. The owner got $8,000 for that thing and gave my FIL $1,500 to cover materials he had in it. They then cut the pipeline about 150 foot wide through the property and paid him for all the timber which was all oaks. The property owner made out pretty well.

          No timber on this place just plain old cow pasture in town
