Why do they call pork butts pork butts when they're not a butt?

Probably the same way they call a klobasnek a kolache!

Ive never seen a true “red head”
Plenty of true orange heads though.

I have pondered this for many years. Same with “de-boning” as Mom always used to say “I boned out that ham”

I've heard that my whole life. They don't have "rear" shoulders!

Another favorite is "I need to take something out of the freezer to de-thaw.". It's hard to explain that de-thawing would be freezing it again...

lmao I remember as a kid seemed like lots of people used the "de-thaw" lingo, but I haven't heard it in many years so maybe we finally got it phased out.

Nope, unsweetened just means it has not been sweetened… You don't have to sweeten it and then remove the sugar to make it unsweetened. That process would be "de sweetened"

Like an uncircumcised ******, that's just how un-sweetened tea was created.
