A option not offered in your survey was:
We have a list of people that we offer them to. When that happens we bring to our processor and he does his thing for them. If we cannot give them away. Hauled off to the bone yard.

Lots of variables for me. I usually pull the back straps and hind quarters. I dump the rest usually. If it is shot early in the day I will use the front shoulder too. It all depends on how much time and light I have. Any dead pig is a good pig.

I voted to haul them off to a dump spot but also keep plenty in my freezer. Process myself and make sausage.

            GSLRO is my main option

We don’t have many so they get processed, I used to drag them off or take them to super S to give them to any takers

I chose backstrapping but I also have left some...probably more. It has been a long time since I have skinned a whole pig.

Down in SoTx at my cousins, no pigs make it to the cleaning station. They are dropped in the boneyard and coyotes are shot over them.

We do all of the above, except take to processor, never do that.

Depending on where it is, we will let them lay. Around a feeder or in an area we frequent, we will usually put a rope around their legs and we have a gully we drag them to that the vultures and coyotes probably think is a Golden Corral.

Eat about 90% of the ones I kill. As long as there’s room in the freezer it’s going in there.

That meat is way to good to just leave for predators and scavengers.

At one time we would take them out live. I use to sell them to people but the state kind of made that hard to do legally so we quit it several years ago. I then started killing them and giving them to people. That road also runs out. People will tell me that they will take everyone we can kill but after you take them 20 or so they don't want them anymore...lol. Now we normally just leave them where we kill them unless I want one to use for training pups.

I remember cutting them up 35 years ago when there weren`t many pigs anywhere near where we hunted. Even went on a south Texas Javelina/Hog and processed 4 hogs myself back in the day. I`ll never cut up another one though. Pork butts and boneless pork loins are on sale somewhere every week for dirt cheap.

pull the straps and part of the hams. Use that when we are making sausage. Rest gets hauled off into the brush. I had a deal years ago with the game warden. I would kill and gut. And call him. He would swing by and give them to pour families he came across. He got transferred out like the all do in Zapata. So back in the brush they go. With their reproductive cycle you can not kill enough of them
