Let’s find this kitten a home

Wife and daughter pulled this crying baby from a thorn bush last night. Workers at the dollar general said she’s been out there crying for a couple of days. (People can really suck)
Anyway, her tail is pretty damaged probably from fire ants. Got her eating this morning and she’s calming down. I’m gonna pay our vet to check her out but we can’t keep her. Willing to drive up to Fort Worth, Cleburne, etc to deliver to a new home.

Man I feel for you. Wife and I went on a trip two years ago and parked my truck at the Austin airport. When we returned we paid and got on the highway to drive home (40 minute drive) - it was over 100 degrees and I was driving 180 mph on the toll road. Got home and when we stepped out of the truck we hear this noise. Could not figure out what it was but finally figured out it was under the hood of my truck - opened it and there against the firewall was a tiny baby kitty - she jumped out - so I put out some food and a trap and caught her.

She has now lived in our barn for two years - she is an awesome cat and will let me pick her up at times and bring into the house to sit with me - we had her spayed - would not trade her for anything. Somebody on this forum needs to adopt your kitty

Hope I don't jinx it but my daughter has connected with a lady from a shelter who is swinging through Granbury and supposed to pick up the kitten today. Our neighborhood vet said the tail needs to come off asap but wanted $1K to do it!😲. This shelter has a place that does it for $125 which we will donate. Hope she gets a good home. My TBH mutt will find a way to break in and eat this little baby if we keep her I'm afraid.
