Where to Stay and Things to do Branson MO

We may have to come back here when I am feeling old because I have noticed this time of year most people I have seen are older than us it appears. Lol

I am not big on Branson "old people shows", but my daughter sings in a group that travels to perform in Branson every summer, so I get to go whether I like it or not. They perform at the Clay Cooper theater every year and then we stay to watch Clay Cooper's Country Express, and I will say this, it's actually a really good show. Very patriotic/religious if that floats your boat. Clay Cooper, I think his wife also, and a bunch of the cast members are from Texas.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We are heading up there Memorial Day Weekend. There are a few different zip lines. Any one better than any of the others. We will also do some type of illusionist show, and I Silver Dollar City one day.

We always stay on lake taneycomo, ozark trout resort. It's not fancy, but it's inexpensive and right on the lake, my wife and girls don't mind so it's not nasty and run down.

We went last year, definately plan an entire day at the Bass pro shops and museum/aquarium. Went to Branson belle show and Dolly Pardon show, they were good. Spent a day at Silver dollar city with the kids and grand kid, they loved it. We were there for July 4th and had all of the free fireworks we wanted to see around the hotel. Old Branson has some cool shopping and picked up some old antique reels and things to decorate the fish camp. Scenic train ride was a waste, trees were grown up so it was not very scenic.

Rent a boat and go tubbing on Table Rock...you are welcome!! Go trout fishing, Lamberts Cafe, Bass Pro in Springfield, Trout fishing in a pay to fish place. Check out local Arkansas town events too! My kids love it there. My college stomping grounds.

We arrived yesterday afternoon for a few days of chilling. The only thing we have pre scheduled is the David and Goliath show at this time. Looks like some good ideas above since this was a spur of the moment idea. No doubt a tourist area and I imagine in season it is packed.

We got back home last night and that area of Branson and nw Arkansas sure is beautiful country no doubt. We did get to see David at the Sights and Sounds Theater and it was awesome. Other than that we just chilled out and hung around the Landing River area and downtown area. Next time I do want to be a little more active on seeing some of the areas mentioned above.

An odd but fun store to walk through for kids is Dicks five and dime. We always walk through it and end up buying too much “old timey” toys and books. Really random store to be sure
