Heading to the Cleo this weekend, noticed based on camera pictures we should be able to find a few sheds this weekend. Also hoping to see some flowers starting to bloom or at least getting close, praying for some rain!

Unfortunately, you won't see anything green. If you arrive on Friday, you will get to see Lubbock blowing by. Yes Sir, we are still praying for rain. While most bucks have shed, I did see a yearling buck with both antlers yesterday. Turkeys are starting to move to the hills to hopefully breed and nest. If it doesn't rain, we will have a hatch failure.
Adios,
Gary

Last year was a bust for deer hunting. Even our winter wheat field did not sprout..No real freeze during the season did not help.
Hopefully this year will be better.
Gary, what are the two new restaurants in downtown (near you) like? It is hard to pass up the Lazy Ladle for the unknown. HaHa

The Silver Spur is across the street, closer to the red light. There's nothing like the building and grounds for well over 100 miles. Food is generally excellent; only time when it was off was when crowd was very large due to an event such as Valentine's Day, or live music with known entertainer. They seemed to get overwhelmed and have difficulty getting food out of the kitchen.
Los Abuelo's at the top of the hill across from the Post Office on Hwy. 83 is consistently good, similar if not better quality than Lazy Ladle. Summerland is across from Menard Bank on Hwy. 83 and makes the best hamburger around, called the Public House Double. I just had one for lunch.
There's a new BBQ place on Hwy. 83 north of the river called Kutter BBQ. I have not eaten there because my Bride is not a fan of BBQ unless I cook it. Most folks who have eaten there, say it's pretty good.
Adios,
Gary
