Sheet metal type for blind skins

If I was going to skin a blind in sheet metal, would hot rolled or galvanized be preferable? Or would it even matter?

I’m going to get whatever the shop I know where to buy it from offers, but was more curious in case they give me the option.

You may know this already but Mueller in Willis sells their metal in flat sheets. Same stuff they sell for metal buildings before it rolled into R panel.

Go ask 'em for cover sheets. Basically the protective pieces of sheet metal that are on top/bottom of the nice new stacks of colored/painted sheets when delivered to a job.
Sometime they will sell 'em pretty cheap.

Sometimes galvanized doesn’t hold paint well.

I’ve done 3 big blinds and skinned them all with mueller U-panel.

I’ll second the flat metal sheets before they turn it into a panel. More coverage and works great.
