My wife and her buddy took a roadie to NYC and BeanTown to watch the Little Rangers. Pretty gutsy move on their parts to gear up in either town. They’re at Fenway tonight.

Tyler Mahle - pretty good. Andrew Chafin - been standing too close to LeClerc and Latz. Ugh.

They've dug themselves a hole to big to get out of with the time they have at this point. Need to get rid of Taveras and Lowe this off-season and make some offensive upgrades there.Pete Alonso and Christian Walker would be great upgrades for Lowe and although I don't see it happening Anthony Santander would be a great replacement for Taveras

As an overly optimistic fan I held out some hope of a turnaround up until about August 1st. Since then the truth has become impossible to ignore. At this point even if they won every series for the rest of the season they would barely finish above .500

The Little Rangers better begin to focus on not being passed by the Angels and A's. It's possible.

As far as off season planning: I heard yesterday the Chris Youngs contract expires at season end. Bochy has one year remaining. This could get weird. No clue what's up w/ CY. I would've thought a WS win would've earned the man at least a year or two contract extension. Ray Davis is no spring chicken. This could get really weird. We'll see...

I expect Bochy to retire after one more season but I can’t imagine Chris Young not getting extended unless he wants to move on for some reason.
BTW I just looked up the Rangers run differential. It was +195 last season and -28 so far this year which ranks them 21st in MLB. Pretty wild when you consider it’s pretty much the same line-up

Nice comeback although too little too late. I wouldn't mind seeing them leave Josh Smith at 3rd and move Jung to 1st next year.
