Anyone dug into NIL enough to know how it's taxed?

Since it is name and likeness versus scholarship type money, I would think it has to be taxed as normal income like we regular less talented humans.

lol such a durrr comment. Imagine having $1.1 million for playing women’s college softball as a 20 year old woman. Good for her. Most college grads in the real world won’t make that in the first 10 -15 years in the workforce. Think I read, she wants to go to Vet school so that works out well. Degrees can open doors, but people make money and moves. Back to baseball.

Imagine going from a Stanford education to a Tech education. Maybe she will be teaching classes instead of taking them. That is a huge get for Tech, I was hoping Texas would land her.
