2024 Workout Accountability Thread!

    We spent the weekend at a remote bay house, so other than some wading and flounder gigging, I didn't put in much work.

    I did make myself do a 50 minute run yesterday evening after we got home. It was still pretty hot at 6pm. I didn't get in my strength workout this morning, but I'm going to squeeze it in sometime today.

      Friday's workout kicked my tail end. This program my wife has us on tore me up. It affected me all weekend. And then I had to paint the bathroom and closet yesterday. It was a legs and abs day.

      Leg extensions
      standing leg curl
      Front Squats
      Calf Raises
      Hanging leg raise
      Med ball crunch
      Cable rotations.

      I don't remember which exercises got how many reps, but it was either 3-5X6, 3-5X12 or 3-5X25. Needless to say we didn't make it to gym this morning. I'll make it tomorrow.

          I had a busy day yesterday and men’s Bible study last night, so I never got that workout in.

          I had a pretty good session this morning.

          5 min row warmup
          sled push/pulls
          pullups
          DB BSS
          bench press
          snatch
          box jumps
          1/2 mile recovery jog

            Did a 17 mile ride on my new gravel bike with the road group last night. I had to work hard to stay up with them with them being on road bikes and me on the big tire gravel bike. But I was able to hang on and it felt good.

              Back and shoulders yesterday… finished up with some leg work… pushed leg curls up to 60 #s and the hammy felt food… will continue to work on legs cautiously for a bit longer

                  Got in this morning for chest and back. Only a couple more weeks on this program my wife found and then on to something else.

                  DB bench press 3X6
                  Incline DB bench press 3X12
                  Cable fly 3X25
                  DB row 3X6
                  Lat pull down 3X12
                  Overhead lat pull 3X25
                  Bench press 3X5
                  Hanging leg raise 3X12
                  Med ball ab crunch 3X12
                  Ab roller 1X8

                  With my luck tomorrow will be leg day.

                          back and Bi’s tomorrow and then headed to a buddies ranch for the weekend.

                          going to try and do a lite 2-4 mile jog Saturday, rest Sunday and then the holy grail “Murph” on Monday! Hopefully I don’t tear my bicep like I did last year 😅

                            Norwegian 4x4 this morning. At my current level, that's essentially 4 x 1/2 mile runs at an 8 min/mi pace.

                            We’re heading to POC for the weekend, but I’ll probably try to get in a jog tomorrow and then I’m going to try to find a place to do Murph on Monday.
