Amazing that he was able to drive around in the truck for that long without getting caught

That’s horrible and hilarious at the same time..

Glad it worked out for y’all..

Glad to hear you got the truck back. Hopefully, it's still in the same condition it was when taken.

I have a friend that had his 2000 F350 stolen and they found it head first in the front door of a convenience store with an ATM under it. But with the big front bumper the thieves weren't able to back out and the truck was stuck.

    Thieves suck!

Oh I was referring to the actors in part two of the story. I am completely lined up with where his son and friends were at. They being young boys just didn’t plan the execution of the plan through completely. No knock on them at all.

That is incredible! I am reaffirmed every day that it is amazing we are not an extinct species. Two of the dumbest people in the universe collided together at the same point and time in your story.

So glad your son got his truck back. Did everything seem intact and operating good with the truck?

We got a call one morning from the Sheriff's Dpt. saying a truck stolen in Elgin was parked at the ranch for a week. WHAT??? Seems the owner who left the key fob, purse, pistol and other items in her truck had some type of GPS thingy that told her where the truck was. We met the deputies at our home gate and then drove down to one of the other gates that is rarely used because of the washouts. Upon getting there someone had put a brand new Masterlock on the chain with our lock. WHAT??? Using Google Maps satellite he showed me where it was pinging from and we drove down there. Sure enuff, back in the briars and brambles where a rabbit wouldn't go sat a newer looking Super duty. Doors were locked so they called a locksmith that came out and duplicated the key fob. Deputies drove it out and away they went. I cut the lock off and we've been vigilant about checking for a return visit to get "their" truck. If they have been back I'm sure they saw the lock gone and figured they'd go find another dumbass who left her key fob in the vehicle.
