Had a Great start to the season. Hunted with a buddy near Matagorda. VERY dry in the area. They got lucky & caught a little tidal water during the storm that went in near Corpus. Only had 5 birds around 8:15 or so. Birds start showing up a little later & by 10 we had scratched out limits. Hardly any shooting around us or in the distance. Heard of a lot of slow or mediocre hunts & a few great hunts. Next 15 days could get TOUGH!!! Hope everyone else had a good hunt!

We have 26 limits out of 26 peeps. I still think we had more birds last year.. I'll be headed to the Anahuac/Winnie area after tomorrow's morning hunt.
