Are the old thread's cached somewhere and is there any possibility that they can be restored?
Nothing has been lost as far as we can tell. The forum has a database where all the posts, topics, photos, PMs, etc are all housed. We just can't get the new software to pull those from a search. I worked on it last night and got many more to come up in the results. However, trying to get it to reindex 16million posts is not easy and we just don't happen to be real experts on such things.
Here is a look at Around the Campfire when I hit the last button (12***) of pages of posts. THere is a lot of info in this forum. We'll get the search working...soon, I hope.
Awesome. I know yall are working on it. Im Glad to hear that the classic threads are not lost. I know Google search engines generated tbh traffic from many if them in the past.

Thanks for this update. I tried again today with very simple searches and the results were very low for just a single word search like Austin. Once things are lined out better a sticky with guidance on how the search function works would be helpful. Does it allow boolean type searches etc. Might also be helpful for a one way locked sticky so comments don't get thngs off focus. That idea might be prudent also for site progress and updates.
where is the "reply" button when looking at a private message? I don't see it.
also, the lag with this new site is horrible. I hope that this new site will be half as good as the old, so far it isn't.

It works like a regular thread now. Scroll to bottom of message thread and type where it says write here, then hit post. Its that easy. Just no reply button stop looking for one lol
Does anyone know how to not make pics/profile pictures so blurry when zooming in from iPhone? When i zoom in the majority of the pics are so blurry you cannot make them out.
Click on said photo and it will pull up a larger version of it. You can zoom in on that one without it becoming blurry.
I assume you are on a phone or tablet and if so, that is a function on that device. I don't believe the forum has anything to do with it. Google that function with your device name in the search string.
