    Scope sighting

Been a while. Is it 1/2 inch low at 25 is 1 inch high at 100. I know every bullet and gun different but I have an 06 and 270 to do tomorrow

The ammo mfg's will post their ballistics. Look them up on the box or online and take that info to the range as a guide.

I just sighted in my 06 a few weeks ago. Using Remington CoreLoks 150 grain the notes say for zero at 200 yards, 100 yards will be 1.75 to 2 inches high and 300 yards will be something like 3 inches low.

zero your gun at 25 yards and then most guns I've shot with a zero point at 25 yards are about 2-3 inches high at 100. Dont adjust so they shoot high at 25 yards or you may be off paper at 100.

I leave them 2-3 inches high at 100 so they are flat at 200 and about 6-8 inches low at 300 and approximately 12-14 inches low at 400. But as said "your mileage may vary".

Get it close at 25. Move back to 100 and if you hit paper (should) then adjust. Easy

I always put mine 1" high at 100 & usually is dead on at 200
