    Frustration has set in

For the first time in along time im willing to pass on a weekend of hunting due to the frustration of not seeing anything. For the past 2 weeks ive seen a total of 4 does and they were about 60 yards behind my feeder and had no intention of visiting. Before the season started i had been seeing tons of hogs and some nice bucks but they day season started i havent seen jack except for spikes and does. I would have expected to at least stick a hog by now but no, i hear them all the time behind my stand and to the right of my setups in the creek but refuse to come in. Idk what the deal is but its starting to get to me. Anyone else having this issue???

Yep I tried gettting a hog for 4 months and just heard them or never showed. Had them on camera all times of the night. Same with deer. They do that just have to stick with it.

If you have does bucks will come from miles to see them.

Me too. If misery loves company, then hi--how ya doin'?
I have been out every weekend since Oct. 1 and have seen nothing but coons and rabbits. I see hogs and deer on the game cam, but only at night.
Phooey. Hope colder weather brings them out during the day.

We had 40 degree mornings this weekend and i was convinced they would be moving but no. Im just going to assume that all the new grass is keeping them from our feeders.

Set up a satellite stand. Don't wait for them to come to you, you go to them!

                I know the feeling.

I quit hunting hard 2 weeks ago.

saw very few deer out of tons of hours in stand, and the ones I did see where so spooky if they did come in bow range I COULD NOT get a shot off.

I benched myself till rifle to take out some spooky does. been spending time with family.

Same issue in Junction. Dominant boar has taken over the stand. They are super smart animals. plan is to put hog lights, bunch of cover scent, and shoot head shots from 70 yd rifle stand.

I wondered about all the new green growth as well. west Texas thinks it's spring--looks like mid-march out here now that we've had some rain.

All my shooter bucks are still nocturnal. Same with the pigs. I just keep working one area on the ranch with a rifle for the pigs at night. I shoot a different gun each weekend. 4 hogs in 3 weekends. I'm really itching to score with the bow. I'll wait to night bow hunt the hogs...don't want my tracking at night to spook the bucks.

Same here, no deer. Alot of pics and encounters before the rain hit. Now I am covered in pigs every night all night, and no Deer. Did I mention no Deer?
