another sad day, w/ happy ending..!!
Just got off cell w/ Cass county game warden. He states they finally have the Cass/Marion counties fire under control.. 80K acres between Cass and Marion have been burned. Just south of Linden, to Lake O the Pines. He states the problem was all the needles from the pines.. he also said he thinks about 20 deer camps went up in smoke.. But the good news is they saved over 50 structures. took 2 air tankers, and countless firemen to contain it. He says problem now is archery season is around the corner, and if we don't get the rain we need, it will be a mess if a deer camp starts it back up by accident... Please be careful out there brothers ans sisters.. I know it would be hard to live w/ my self if I though I had any sort of hand even by accident of starting a fire...The warden also stated they had been working 16 hour days to get this contained..... as of this writing, we will be headed down to pull out equip tomorrow morning...
