Sugarland is nice so is the woodlands and Katy...all depends if you want close community or not? I myself would not live in actual Houston. Tomballs too close in my opinion but its convenient. Close enough to work in major hospitals for me and its quiet. I dove hunt 30 minutes frommy house. 2 minutes if I can talkthe rancher next to me into it. Few ponds and creekd within 15 min to fish. I hunt deer and hogs less than 40 miles door to door

wow did you open a can of worms!!
what size lot are you looking for? 10 foot from your neighbor or 50 yards?
we have a diversity of lot sizes to choose from but only certain area's can cater to those needs....
2 hours from IAH with the best fishing and hunting..... i would lean towards the East side and have Louisianan as an option for fishing/duck hunting.... but the West side is bird hunting/deer hunting
JMHO
or Casey's house... Kingwood is a good option for what your looking for.

We've lived here in Old Katy for 14 years. We've seen some changes...mostly good. Crime is still low here in town. Can't beat the schools either.
I used to hunt the prairie when I first moved here but there ain't a lot of rice farming being done on the Katy Prairie anymore. A few rice fields are still around but its either way expensive to hunt or its not very good.
Somerville takes about 1 hour and 15mins from my driveway. Don't move here for the fishing.
Its a good area. Let me know if you have questions.
Good luck.

Thanks guys! Will being lots of work in Africa and middle east, and not the pretty parts of Africa. Ha ha ha My buddy in Katy is a huge waterfowler and his dad runs a big duck club out there. Was gonna try to run by and see it today, but had to head back west again. 848 miles and three biz meetings is a long arse day.
