I am also with the crowd that thinks finding some ag fields would be good. Will you guys be coming up 83 through Wellington?
Yes We will be traveling through Wellington.

My buddy grunted in a huge 8 that he said would go 140 -150. The buck I saw had black back legs. The other buck didn't. I think we're still pre-rut. Anybody here have any more info?
I watched 2 bucks chasing does on Sunday in Hall county.. It must have been good because it sounded like WW3 around my place. (makes me upset to hear the guns) I know around 12:15 yesterday I think my neighbor took a big 8 that busted me (his doe) in the morning when I drew back on him. went right towards the neighbors. at noon I could here a doe bleat and a few little tending grunts. not 5 minutes later. I heard 3 LOUD grunts (had to be man made through a grunt call) from 300yds away. then BAM.. BAM !!! so I am pretty sure that someone got them a nice mount. I am going this Wed. taking the wife to sit in the brush blind I put together after being seen Sunday Morn. Cold front moving in Wed. High of 60 Tues. but 35 on Wed. so I am hoping they will be chasing early and eating before front blows in.. then I figure next weekend it will be full bore baby... good luck

Nothing happening in the lower SE Panhandle, Kent County. I only saw 2 small bucks from Friday thru Sunday and ZERO rutting activity. Full moon, temps too high and very windy I think put a halt to the rutting activity I saw the week before, at least during the day.

Hunted yesterday about 30 miles south of Gene Howe. Rut has been going strong for about 5- 6 days at our place. We went from seeing 20-30 does and numerous bucks from spikes to a nice 10 chasing morning and evening until Sunday. Sunday we saw about 15 deer total but still some chasing and yesterday total morning and evening hunts I saw 9 deer. I hope it was the full moon that was causing it.

              I agree.
I have been hunting about 8 miles east of hwy 283 and about 4 miles south of hwy 33, the daytime movement has been almost nothing last weekend. I expected the peak to be this last weekend, but looks like it is still to come.
