the danged coons and or squirrels had eaten the little funnel at the bottom of the drum and the slinger...
I had not touched this feeder since last December, it has just been hanging from this tree limb down in a ravine.....
packed a spare battery and four bags of corn 50 yards down into the ravine...battery was still at 75% oddly enough...swapped batteries, started dumping a bag of corn in, expected a little spillage out the bottom but it kept on coming...WTH....
that's when I saw the funnel was gone....dangit....hmmm....anything out here I can make a little funnel out of...well, tons of sheet metal but no snips....I was really not looking forward to packing those sacks of corn back up the hill and back in the truck...that is when my white boy super sense kicked in...why not put the bags of corn in the drum and seal it up, bring out a new funnel next time, pull the corn, replace the funnel, fill it up and we are DONE....
I guess this is why them make those aluminum funnels eh?
haha
(note to self, keep spare funnels in goody box)
