Our place is in Kerr county between Hunt and Mt Home and we have a good bit of exotics on the place... Axis, Sika, Audad are more regular than anything else though...

You have tons of axis outside that range, but the hills in real & edwards are probably where you'll find the most aoudad, sika, and fallow

I hunted the Devil's Sinkhole Archery Hunt (WT) a couple of years ago and stayed in Junction. You couldn't drive that stretch of road without seeing axis, red stag, sika, and even a couple of Gemsbok. Most of it was fenced but I saw the animals beside the road, and sometimes in the middle of the road.

Private ranch, used to belong to former Austin Mayor Roy Butler. Guess it went to his family, he passed away last year.

Would agree with Edwards and Real county but here around Comfort there are times I swear there are more axis than whitetails! Also plenty of blackbuck, fallow, and sika. Strange thing about axis is I rarely see them in our subdivision but I know of subdivisions in Boerne that have tons of them. True story-last summer (teacher by day, realtor by night!) I was sitting at the real estate office right in downtown Comfort on Hwy 87 (less than 200 yds from ShinerBocks business). I noticed several cars going really slow and looked up the street and here comes a decent 24-28" axis buck trotting down the highway heading into town! Guess he was doing a little sightseeing.

Axis aren't typically as comfortable in close proximity to houses as whitetails - obviously there are exceptions, but in subdivisions with a fair amount of greenbelt or homes on 5+ acres, you see alot of them (Esp in the Boerne/Comfort/Bulverde area), but where you have houses next to each other on sub-acre lots, in my experience they won't be as prevalent as WT. IMO it just has to do with their nervous nature.

Definitely agree but for some reason they don't like our subdivision and most of our lots are 5-10 acres. All around us. I see a minimum of 15-20 every day going to work in Comfort-about a 15 mile drive.

West of San Antonio all the way to Sonora you see exotics on a regular basis. Seeing more on 90 west of San Antonio basically all the way to Del Rio.
