New pastor, need prayers

I am the chairman of our churches pastor search comm. and after a little more than a year we have a prospect coming this Sunday in view of a call, this means he is going to preach for the membership and they are going to vote to accept or not. I have faith that this is Gods man for our church and the vote will go well, still wanted to share with you all and ask that you add this to each of your prayer times.

Prayers sent that the lord will open the doors that need to be opened and shut the doors that need to be shut. So many times we start thinking that we know what is best for us, our church, our lives, ect. ect. WE AIN'T GOT A CLUE! The lord knows right now, today, if this man is the right fit for your church. Continue to put your faith in him and he will bless you for it in the long run, even if this guy doesn't end up being THE ONE!

I know what you are going thru. The church I belong to went four years looking for a preacher until we finally got one about six months ago. We had some wonderful visiting preachers, but it is nice to be able to have sermons that continue on a theme from one Sunday to the next.

Considering alot of the things he addressed in some of his letters they may have discussed that very thing Paul knew how to cut staight to the heart and humble us all to the fact that just knowing Christ is everything and getting rid of all our worldly desires is the beginning of real life
